MADE IN ITALY: COMFORT ON THE RAILS SINCE 1924

The story of Fer began in 1924 with Fabbriche Elettrotecniche Riunite (Fer), a company that worked in the electro-mechanical and railway sector, and in industrial ceramic and measures and regulation sectors for four decades with productive units in Ferrara, Bergamo, Milano, and Seregno (MI).

Since 1967, Fer has used its own technologies in special railway applications and then in later years in military and airport sectors.

Klimat was founded in 1963, and began with the production of civil and industrial air-conditioning systems. Since 1994, the company has been working in the railway sector, first with heating systems and then immediately afterwards, with air-conditioning systems.

In 1995, in parallel with the growth of its engagement in the railway field, Klimat began its specific activities dedicated to the national railways sector with both the design of solutions and the production of equipment for train and metro compartments.

In 1998, Klimat began designing and producing its first systems for parked aircraft, while the next year, after selling its branch of activity in the civil and industrial sector, Klimat also began working in the field of static converters.
